You said it more along the lines that I would have if my son hadn't been peering over my shoulder while I was responding! Even the 16 yr. old is pissed about the firing of Malloy, and he called it "probably the dumbest thing that AAR could've done", and he didn't listen to him that often, but when he did he would get fired up. He still enjoys Randi and he's kinda gettin' over the firing of Morning Sedition because Rachel Maddow is an "acceptable" replacement, and we all enjoy Stephanie Miller to a certain degree...but I want to hear Malloy, too!

Yep, I think this is just another bad decision by AAR. It's almost as if the suits want to kill it just so they can say there wasn't an audience for it, as opposed to telling the truth about firing folks that people wanted to listen to!

I remember an afternoon in central Florida, in a suburban shopping area, a mother turned her back on her baby in a stroller for a minute or two (to be shown something cool by her older children) when a family of raccoons made a beeline for the baby. A bunch of us just stood planted for a moment we were so amazed.

Then somebody made a fast move and a loud noise and they ambled off. Sometimes they will make a stand, though.

Still, I can imagine the kitties taking in the show. That's what mine always did. :D

AAR management has not been real good at learning from their errors, but I'm trying to see the common thread here: Sue Ellicott was the first to get the ax (Morning Sedition; that was a terrible casting mistake); then Lizz Winstead (what the hell did she ever do to earn that?); then Kathryn Lampfur "quit to write a book" (is that the same as spending time with the family?), Marc Maron, who they totally screwed around for what, a year?, before dropping him altogether), then Janeane, we'll never know how much of that was "her decision," and now Mike.

He's a good guy, a true left-liberal, and now finds himself in an awkward position. He cannot comment about the circumstances of my termination on the air, which I completely understand and support. I have been in Peter's exact position in the past.
