He has a team of lawyers (small)

They are careful with Public's $$$

Just because you do not see Fitz - does not mean other lawyers are not working with the jury on the case.

Because it is a "Regular Grand Jury" - you do not LEAD THEM ON...

What is interesting, has not been covered by any major columnist or newspaper, Reid said to Bush "don't close this down." The power of pardon and classification or declassification. Ollie North got his charges thrown out.

Private defense funds, pres's friends raising money for his defense. Hasn't been raised yet. Not going to have friends of POTUS bailing us out of Vegas jails.

79. She also talked about how the Rove "machine" was working as it always has
worked, implying how it uses misinformation to discredit others.

86. Right, because all the other journalists on this story made shit up
Amazing how much ego can trump ethics. At this point, I see no difference between the people in the WH spinning reporters (and there are those to be sure) and the bloggers at that panel who think they know what they are talking about or have the right to publicly attack people who do honest work, even if they make mistakes sometimes.

It is all based on personal infighting and that seems to trump ethics. Larry and Wilson did a fine job. I missed Froomkin. But I caught Waas giving himself credit and it was sleazy, that is the only word that comes to mind. Pure sleaze.

Sorry, but whatever respect I had for Waas evaporated the moment he thought it appropriate to take down a journalist based on their personal differences and to do it in public. That is sleazy and underhanded. Whatever you think of the TO story is irrelevant. Ethics does not change and it does not change even when you are right and have the authority from which to speak. As for Hamsher, well, she is what she is. But I am frankly surprised by Marcy's comments because I have generally respected her work. It is unfortunate that this is what represents honest/left leaning reporting and citizen journalism. I am frankly disappointed. They have created a clique to the detriment of a serious movement and it should be seen for what it is.

And for Waas to have the arrogance to act this way when he has the respect of other journalists is inappropriate and I don't doubt for a moment others will see this whorish display of hubris and walk the other way, when in fact, now would be a time to walk toward. As I have said, despite whatever else in private I may have thought of Waas. I have always respected his work. Now I simply find him cheap and arrogant and far too close to certain people when as a journalist he should know better than to get involved in cat fights. I am sadly disappointed in him. Ethics is ethics and if you bend them for your own personal twists, then you change your own ethical makeup.

85. Man was that a smart panel. I have a lot of work to do but I was engrossed
Not a good panel to try and have on in background... talk about must see tv. Can you imagine if this sort of thing were on our networks and cable shows consistently? I'd never get any work done!
