RW'er compares Waco with Haditha - Unbelievable!
On another forum where I post, this guy posts that we should be talking about Waco and how Clinton/Reno and the ATF slaughtered those people and not about what the Marines did in Haditha.

I am speechless at such a correlation. There is nothing that they will discuss unless they can find a way to deflect it with something that "Clinton did". Out of all the things I have seen this guy post, I think this one is the one that will make my head explode for sure.

Just how out of touch with reality does one have to be to make a statement like that and expect others to agree with them that Waco makes Haditha an ok thing to have happened.

My only response was

Can someone please help me understand what makes people like this tick because I am just dumbfounded. Rhetorical question .... but one that needs to be asked all the same.

8. Haditha is the city in Iraq where the marines slaughtered 24
civilians ... including babies! There are many threads here about it.

this RW'er has already slandered Murtha fpr speaking out about it, as if it was Murtha's fault, questioning just how Murtha got his medals and if he was ever really a "good" marine himself.

Just disqusting.

11. April 19, 1993, less than 3 months into Clinton's term ...
... the ATF and FBI, having held siege at the Branch-Davidian compound of David Koresh for 51 days after four ATF agents were killed and 16 wounded in a shootout on February 28 after about 100 federal agents tried to serve arrest and search warrants on the Branch Davidian compound, attempted to flush the cult from their compound with tear gas and force a surrender. A fire broke out and many of the cultists died.

What the right-wingers persistently fail to note is that these confrontations and actions were the culmination of a Poppy Bush Justice Department investigation and all the events of early 1993 were undertaken by officials appointed by either Reagan or Bush, with the single exception of Janet Reno whose appointment as Attorney General took place after extensive delays and blockages by Senate Republicans.

For the whacked-out, delusional right-wingers to proclaim September 11th as "Clinton's Legacy" and then deny the Reagan/Bush culpability in all the events leading up to the April fire that ultimately killed 70 cult members, whose evacuation from that compound had been demanded for 51 days is f*cking insane.

12. Sorry .. I assumed you knew about Waco and the Branch Davidians
and that they were the catalyst for McVeigh to blow up the building in Oklahoma.

If you google it, you will get more info about it but basically this guy is saying that we {Americans acting under the authority of Clinton and Reno) were responsible for all the loss of life at the compound and that it is worse than what the marines did in Iraq.

Here's a good start - http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/religion/cult/david-koresh/

10. Waco was Poppy's operation
Janet Reno wasn't even sworn in as AG until March 12, almost 2 weeks after the stand-off began. The only reason this isn't common knowledge today is because Clinton and Reno accepted responsibility for what happened on their watch regardless of its origins; unlike Republicans who are always ready to blame somebody else for everything that goes wrong and take credit for things that go right and have nothing to do with them. Kind of like their theory on God.

Not that there's any comparison between Haditha and Waco anyway, but it stands to reason they'd try to drag Clinton into it somehow.

14. Pre-zactly.
Waco occurred less than 3 months into Clinton's adminstration.
9/11 occurred more than 8 months into Junior's adminstration.

The right wing blames 9/11 on Clinton.
The right wing blames Waco on Clinton.

The right-wing is f*cking insane.

16. Standoff began Feb 28
38 days. The plan to do a raid type operation started at least as early as Dec 92. The Clinton Administration put an end to all this ATF black helicopter nonsense, and yet the militia types still blame Waco and Ruby Ridge on Democrats. It's crazy.

15. One thing
A winger would be the people who would help a Hitler to take power in a country. Their Fuerher can do no wrong. The military , under their fuerher, can do no wrong. There would be no atrocity terrible enough. No corruption corrupt enough, no crime, criminal enough to affect their Hitler.

They would be the first ones lining up to vote for a future Hitler, thats a no brainer.
