Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard Endorses Hillary Clinton The Clinton Campaign announced today the endorsement of California Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, illustrating the growing support she has in the Golden State.
"Hillary Clinton is the candidate with the experience and strength to lead our nation in a new direction," said Roybal-Allard. "I have witnessed first hand her commitment to reach out to people from diverse backgrounds and viewpoints, and bring them together toward a common goal. We need her kind of leadership in the White House."
Congresswoman Roybal-Allard is a political pioneer, who became the first Mexican-American woman elected to Congress in 1992. Before that, she represented the 56th Assembly District of California for six years. Roybal-Allard has made public health issues a priority during her congressional tenure, building on the legacy of her late father, Congressman Edward Roybal, who was a founding member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and represented his Los Angeles district for 30 years.

Hillary Clinton received the endorsements of Boston City Council President Maureen Feeney and Councillor Salvatore LaMattina today, reflecting her growing support in the Bay State.
"We need to return strong, principled leadership to the White House," said Feeney, who has served on the Council since 1993 and is only the second woman to lead the body. "Hillary Clinton is the only candidate who has the experience to lead from her first day in office."

6/25/07 Former SC governor Riley to endorse Hillary Clinton
GREENVILLE, SC (AP) - Former US Education Secretary Richard Riley will endorse New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's Democratic presidential campaign Tuesday at a news conference in Columbia.
The former South Carolina governor also supported the campaign of former President Bill Clinton in 1992, then served as education secretary for both of Clinton's terms.

Hillary’s NH Support Continuing to Grow
MANCHESTER, NH – On the heels of Senator Hillary Clinton’s ninth visit to New Hampshire and a Conversation on stem cell research she held at Dartmouth College in Hanover on June 15th, several key leaders have announced today they have decided to endorse Senator Clinton for President.
The following seven community leaders decided to support Senator Clinton:
State Representative Bernie Benn is currently serving his fourth term and makes the 44th New Hampshire legislator to endorse Senator Clinton. He is the Vice Chair of the House Finance Committee, an architect and former Hanover Democratic Chair.
Mary Chambers is the former Democratic Leader in the House and former NHDP Vice Chair. Also served as a Presidential Elector and DNC Committeewoman. She was a Dean supporter in 2004.
Marion Copenhave is a former State Representative and is a well known activist at Kendal at Hanover retirement community, where she currently resides.
John Hennessey is the former Dean of the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and he was a trustee and chairman of the board at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is also on the board of trustees at the Vermont Law School and was the first provost at the University of Vermont. John is also a WWII Army veteran. He was Kerry supporter in 2004.
Ralph Hough is a Vietnam Veteran and former Republican Senate President who represented Lebanon for six years in the State House and 16 in the State Senate. He is now a Democrat and he supported Dean in 2004.
Madeleine Kunin, who has already announced her support, was the first and only female Governor of Vermont from 1985 to 1991. She is also a former Deputy Secretary of Education and former Ambassador to Switzerland.
Hilda Sokol is currently retired. She is a former State Representative and former professor of physiology at Dartmouth. She was a Dean supporter in 2004.
Today’s Upper Valley endorsements join a growing list of Hillary supporters in New Hampshire including 43 state legislators.

Arkansas Leaders Endorse Clinton
The Clinton Campaign announced the endorsements of Senator Mark Pryor and several other leading Arkansas officials today on the eve of Hillary Clinton’s first campaign visit to the state to address the Democratic State Party's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner Saturday.

Inslee backs Clinton, will co-chair energy advisers By DAVID AMMONS AP POLITICAL WRITER
OLYMPIA, Wash. -- U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Wash., endorsed Hillary Clinton for president on Thursday and will serve as co-chairman of her energy and environment advisers.
"Hillary Clinton has the vision to lead this country in a clean-energy revolution. She has the toughness, experience, and resolve needed to end the Iraq war and begin rebuilding America's image around the world."
Clinton has the strength to end the Iraq War and to help re-establish U.S. credibility abroad, he said.
"She is uniquely suited to the moment," he said.
Inslee serves the Seattle-area 1st District and previously served Eastern Washington in the Legislature and Congress. He has run for governor, served as a local prosecutor and been regional director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
