2. that's why we were there, our friend is 1st chair oboe/english horn...

it's a wonderful venue, and as you know the grounds are lovely as well, they're a genius group of musicians with solid support & Asher's programs are cool B-) and yeah, the renovation was a form of miracle :thumbsup:

3. Asher is something of a miracle himself

He took a second rate, mostly amateur orchestra, whipped it into shape and put it on the map.

It was a fun program today with all the old favorites. And the horns got a good workout today.

4. A real sweet guy, Asher, a wonderful head full of music history...

in Sat rehearsals he was defining passages for his players that he'd like for them to consider thus & so forth and mentioned The Council of Trent in the process...he's just so knowledgeable and brings so much to his art
