Paramount ramping up Star Trek 12 even before the release of 11 in May
Apparently so impressed with the Abrams-directed movie premiering next month and confident of it's success, Paramount has already rehired the same writing team for a script for the next installment - be be released summer 2011.

1. I'm no Trekkie (liked the original a lot, the others are ok), but even I want to see this one.
The trailer is pretty amazing. And I have to admit that the casting of Simon Pegg as Scotty could be either brilliance or madness, but I'm intrigued. I think Pegg is perfect for it, but I like him a lot anyways so I'm biased.

I do hope that Abrams squeezes in Cloverfield 2 before Trek 12 though.

Simon Pegg is the perfect choice for Scotty.

Yeah, I'm really hopeful for this film, although I hate what they did to the bridge of the Enterprise. They made it the damn iBridge. Is it too hard to make what is supposed to be the very first Constitution Class ship's control room look at least as primitive as it did in the 1960s series? I'm not asking for a faithful replica, just something that feels a little bit more clunky, a little bit more analog. And why is it so big?

5. Remember... what you're seeing is an alternate timeline
Once Eric Bana the Romulan sets certain events in motion, the timeline is altered...

6. But did it have to be so blue!?
Oh well, at least they were smart and put a bar right there in the center of the bridge so Kirk and McCoy didn't have to run off to sickbay just for a nip of Romulan Ale.

3. I found the perfect computer chair for you, wyldwolf.

It's only $2,199.99.

You could choose which Warp Factor to post at though. :)
