Goodbye Adolph (Dolphie), Grief of the Pasha by Jean-Leon Gerome

I found him in '92. He was in BIG truck traffic. I brought him home knowing I would take him to the Humane Society the next day. I took him to the vet today. I came home broken hearted and alone. I have a print that hangs on our living room wall. Below is how I feel. Click the link.

A picture sure is worth a million words. It expresses such a deep and abiding sense of loss.

So very sorry for your loss. I am sure Dolphie's spirit will stay close to you after all the years you have spent together...and the fact that you rescued him from a much less love-filled life. Watch for the signs that he is near.

companions wrap themselves so tightly around our hearts. My heart goes out to you in your sorrow. May you be comforted by your sweet memories. Your Dolphie had a good life and is thankful that you were the one who rescued him.

9. Your avatar kitty looks a lot like Dolphie

He had more white on his face with a black stripe under his nose. It made the name Adolph seem like a natural. Thanks to everyone for the comforting thoughts.
