The problem.........
Rachel Maddow - Rise of the conservadems

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAKMeSVitAk

The show aired three months ago and since then the problem has only gotten worse.

If we lose the public option it will be all their fault.

The group, which is composed of 14 Senate Democrats and Joe Lieberman(I-CT), are the same Senators who met two weeks ago to discuss how centrists can assert more leverage on the policy debates that are dominating Congress. …

In addition to Senators Bayh and Lieberman, others joining the group are Tom Carper of Delaware, Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, Mark Udall and Michael Bennet of Colorado, Mark Begich of Alaska, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, Herb Kohl of Wisconsin, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Bill Nelson of Florida, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, and Mark Warner of Virginia.

2. Back during the election I read such excitement about some of these folks getting elected.
now we are stuck with Democrats in the Senate (many for the next 6 years) who act more like Republicans.
So whats to do about that. I say get off our butts in the next primary season & elect some progressive
Democrats to the Senate (the House too). It can't be too early to get out and about and find out who these
people are and start raising cash & support for them right now. 2010 is coming right up.
