New Study Shows Pre Born Children Cry in the Womb
Phil Magnan, Executive Director of Biblical Family Advocates is calling on all Americans to consider a recent study that has shown that the child in the womb exhibits very familiar human behaviors in the womb. The pre born child not only cries in the womb, but "even their bottom lip quivers." So said New Zealand Pediatrician Ed Mitchell who helped with the U.S. study.

The study revealed that the pre born child cries in the womb at 28 weeks.

"Every mother recognizes the very human trait of the 'little quivering lower lip of their child', that usually stirs up great care and sympathy for their child. This new study once again confirms the very personal face of a small child in the womb, that now is shown to be 'crying out'. When will America truly listen to the 'crying out' of a child being aborted? I know that late term abortions are performed by delivering the child 'feet first' so that you will not hear their screams of pain," says Phil Magnan Executive Director of BFA.

The actual term is "fetus."

3. 28 weeks is a 7 month-old fetus. That's the third trimester.

14. Exactly--and at this stage, they are viable outside the womb
To compare a twenty-eight week fetus to a twelve-week fetus, or to an embryo (if it's under eight weeks old it's still an embryo, not a fetus yet) or a blastocyst, and to argue that because a twenty-eight-week-old fetus can cry a blastocyst deserves human rights, is disingenuous.

At twenty-eight weeks, the fetus is considered viable, and so abortions at that stage are exceedingly rare and almost always the result of anencephaly (a condition where there's no brain and the fetus will inevitably die after birth).

4. Objections noted, but...
...it's important that you see how the "intelligent design" cretins are apparently misusing sound medical research to suit their own political agendas.

5. I MIGHT buy the quivering lip story, but not the crying!
Certainly, a realtively mature fetus can feel things. Where do you think the "smack the baby if it doesn't begin to cry right away" cam from?

It seems to me that a baby/fetus CAN'T cry inside the womb, because they CAN'T breathe!!!! If they would breathe before birth, they'd drownd!!!!

8. They actually "breathe" amniotic fluid.
Their lungs go through the motions of inhaling and exhaling. There are substances in the fluid, late in pregnancy, that cause the lungs to mature. If, for some reason, they don't have that fluid, their lungs will not grow properly, and they will usually not be viable.

Not jumping into the debate here, just giving some info.:hi:

10. As the fetus develops, and even seen once born
the neurological development is ongoing with lip-quivering being one of the soft signs of that development. It has nothing to do with crying.

11. Right - As Anyone Who Can Read An Ultrasound Can Tell You
Cause the resolution on today's ultrasound machines are so good you can see something like this.

16. Actually, the new 3- and 4D ultrasounds can detect these kinds
of movements. They're pretty amazing. Doesn't mean anything either way. 'Crying' isn't necessarily the only explanation of the movements, but it's certainly the one that tugs the heartstrings and makes the anti-choice crowd weep and beat their breasts.

15. Good point.
But defecation doesn't tug the heart strings and provide that emotional mind-fuck like a crying "pre-born child."
