I trusted John Kerry enough to vote for him. I still trust him, more than anyone else, to uncover clandestine injustice (think BCCI, folks). And upon his inauguration, he will do the same kind of job on the terrorists. Just like Bush, they will never know what hit them.

It's really easy to lose faith when the chips are down and we receive next to no news from the top Dems. Nevertheless, in his post-election streaming video he promised that every vote would be counted and I take him at his word. The Righties love to say that they take Dubya at his word all the time, even though he's a pathological liar. Kerry means what he says and does what he means. He IS involved in Ohio and I maintain that he has been quiet in order to avoid Gore's mistakes of 2000.

Have I been down in the dumps since 11/3? At times, sure! However, NOT ONCE have I lost faith that Kerry's concession was anything other than strategic. We haven't seen the last of 2004 nominee Kerry!

This is probably meaningless to some here, but I'm a life-long Red Sox fan who's team was down 0-3 to someone that we hardly ever beat in the post-season- the Yankees. I was pissed, I was hurt, but I still believed. And as we got ready to play game 4, I turned to my husband and said, "Am I crazy that I still think we can win this thing?". To which he said, "Yes."

4 games later and the Red Sox did what what no team has ever done in all of baseball, they beat the Yankees and became the only team outside a hockey to win the series. 4 more games later and the team did what they hadn't done in 86 years, win a World Series.

I had a good feeling down 0-3 and I have a good feeling being down 3 million. I still believe, and I hope that, as a fellow Red Sox fan, John Kerry does too...

However, rats get desperate when backed into a corner and Karl Rove is the biggest rat of them all. He has to know that recounts in New Hampshire, Ohio and Florida will change the vote totals. Is he hoping to create an impression among Freepers that the election was stolen by Kerry or the "liberal" press in order to help Bush save face and save his own sorry political career?

There are very few ways he can stop the recount.Does he have plans to firebomb the sites where ballots are stored and blame it on al Qaeda? Even the ostrich press would ask questions about that one. Or maybe invade Iran? Wont stop the recountrs. If he tries to go to court to suppress the recounts, this in itself will be newsworthy.
The only way Rove can keep the vote from being counted is to substitute doctored paper ballots for the real ones, and that would be verrrrry risky (way too many people involved).

Logic tells me that Rove expected the election to be closer than it was. If exit polls had shown a close split then a Bush win would not have attracted any public notice. The fact that Kerry was gaining ground in Ohio is probably what prompted him to tell Blackwell to try to block exit polls in Ohio. When that didnt work he concocted the surreal theater event with the Bush clan and national TV election night. When that didnt work, he began trying to cover his tracks and give W. "plausible deniability."

The idea of a "Liberal" is decidely negative at this point in time - bleeding heart liberal, tax and spend liberal, big government liberal - that is how the "other side" has framed us. I am not any of those things, I frankly don't know what a "liberal" is, maybe there is a definition somewhere. Every taxpayer in the country would pay in $25 per year into a fund which would provide $5 billion dollars which should cover the cost of the candidates preparing resumes, issues statements and cover media costs (provided by TV, newspapers at cost) THERE WOULD BE NO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS ALLOWED BY ANYONE OR ANY COMPANY TO ANY POLITICIAN
I believe elections should be a national holiday and held on Friday
I believe winners should not be announced until a set day in the future so all votes can be counted.
Any "projection" by a news organization should be, by law, identified in large letters as (for example) ZOGBY EXIT POLL PROJECTION ESTIMATES, but it is not binding and no one "concedes" until the set period is up.

83. And here's how it can happen!

First, why I think something's up behind the scenes that we don't know about: There are all the obvious things that everyone has already talked about, the suspiciously early, easy, and gracious concession, the "silence of the Dems." Why aren't the party folks screaming about the obvious massive fraud, intimidation, and disenfranchisement? Because they know something more effective than screaming is going on.

In particular, why aren't our loud and sometimes loose cannons roaring? The intimidation and disenfranchisement were, as always, concentrated in poor and black areas, but Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are mum. Could you ever imagine that? Congresspeople whom you can always count on to make waves, such as Henry Waxman, Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters, and others are silent and not making waves. Do you think they know something we don't? You could argue that they're in shock, but not for two weeks, and I never knew of shock to keep those folks silent.

I hear no recriminations among the party wheels about how Kerry campaigned or such. Even less than during the campaign. Dems are too fractious a bunch for that to happen. After a loosing campaign, there are always recriminations. This is the dog that didn't bark.

Our thousands of lawyers wanted to file hundreds of lawsuits on election day, but Kerry said no. Kerry, the tenacious prosecutor. Kerry, who fought on in the Iowa caucuses. Kerry, who helped found VVAW. But now, a week later, he sends hundreds of lawyers back to Ohio, "to make sure every vote is counted" and "to ensure the legitimacy of the election." That doesn't make any sense at all. It's got to be a diversionary tactic, to lull the pukes into a false sense of security and distract attention from where the real thing's going to be.

Finally, they have to realize (don't they?) that going down without a fight in the face of such obvious and massive fraud would cripple the party for years or even decades. Forget 2006 and 2008. People who stood in line for six hours to vote won't do that again if they don't fight to count those votes. People who poured out energy, time, commitment, and money like never before won't do that again, if all their efforts go down the drain without even a fight. People who say they don't vote because it doesn't matter will be proven right. We won't be able to tell Nader voters that they're throwing away their vote, because Nader's votes were counted and ours weren't--we're the ones who threw away our vote, if they won't fight to count our votes. Surely they have to realize this.

So here's my theory (probably my tin foil hat theory, if I understand that expression correctly):

Max Cleland is a friend of Kerry's. Max Cleland was robbed of a Senate seat by BBV, and anybody who's paying attention knows it. Several other elections were all stolen in apparent dry runs for this one. Kerry and everyone else in the campaign had to know about that. But no one ever said a word during the campaign about it. Compare that to the massive attention to intimidation and disenfranchisement and the thousands of lawyers deployed to prevent it, and the somewhat inhibitory effect that had on some of the worst abuses. But as for BBV, the message was, "Welcome, Pukes. Come in and make yourselves comfortable. Have a cup of tea and be as brazenly audacious as you wish in your vote-stealing. You can go all-out with impunity. No one here will say a word. Not, that is, until we spring this nice little ambush that we have set for you."

Here in California, we just got a multi-million dollar settlement from Diebold over their illegal dealings with touch-screen systems. How? A Diebold technician turned whistleblower. Oh, and he gets a percentage of the settlement too. Does anyone seriously think that we didn't at least try to place some mole technicians in Diebold and also that no lone-ranger moles tried to get in and also that nobody in the company wants a share of the next whistleblower percentage?

I think the Kerry campaign probably had copies of this year's equivalents of rob-georgia.zip about as soon as they were in Diebold technicians' hands. By election day, they'd decompiled or reverse engineered whatever was in them (if it even took that much geek work) and knew exactly how many votes were being stolen where and how. When things turned weird on election day, it was exactly according to plan and exactly as expected.

So, you ask, why haven't they come out with it? What are they waiting for? Remember Kerry the prosecutor? He didn't make his name going after small-time one-off thugs. He drove the whole mob out of his county. There are bigger fish here than some Diebold programmers. There's even bigger game than a stolen presidential election.

With something like a rob-ohio.zip and rob-florida.zip file in hand as evidence and a couple friendly, honest FBI agents or local prosecutors, they could get wiretaps, email taps, FTP taps, and whatever else. With the Dems apparently slinking off into the silence to lick their wounds, the biggies might well be carelessly congratulating themselves on their splendid coup, on tapped lines. Imagine Diebold's CEO being thanked by, oh say, Karl. And one tap's results could lead to another, and then another. Oh my, where might it all lead? Maybe to the whole "Soprano family values" crowd.

But there's still other big game out there to be taken down. The downstream media (hey, they stopped being mainstream a long time ago, they're downstream now) never dealt seriously with BBV problems; they completely ignored all the evidence that BBV was a disaster in the making and had actually already been used to steal elections. They treated the Swift Boat Liars thing as a he said-she said thing that no one could possibly investigate or verify or know the truth, and they acted as though people who weren't there could know as well as people who were there what happened. The downstream puke media (DPM) were completely in the RNC's pocket and completely AWOL from any real journalism, and have been for years.

So, to take down the DPM by embarassing and humiliating them for their complete and utter failures also required waiting to let them do it to themselves. We had to wait while evidence mounted and they ignored it, while the blogosphere fulminated and they unanimously (except Olberman) declared it to be looney internet conspiracies, while they unanimously said all this smoke doesn't mean there's fire, why there really isn't even any smoke, my dears. Just be calm and trust us.

So, when do we see something? Well, it has to be before the electoral college votes. Practically, it has to be before results are certified, particularly if Senate races were stolen too, as seems likely. I'm thinking probably this coming week, because the following week is Thanksgiving and real news will die for most of the week, and the week after that is tight on deadlines for vote certifications. I'm also thinking either Monday or Friday: Monday so the DPM anchors have to wipe egg off their faces all week, or Friday to set up the Sunday morning talking heads shows. Of course, if the FBI or wiretaps are involved, it might all depend on whether new big fish are calling up to volunteer to go to the big house.

On the other hand, this might all be my wishful thinking fantasy, in which case refer back to the paragraph that begins, "Finally, they have to realize (don't they?)" and start applying for immigration to Canada.

I'm not saying it's very likely, but it could still happen.

...I am prepared to face the truth if there is no challenge. However, I honestly believe the campaign will not give up without determining whether there was any way to overturn Ohio or Florida.

However, if I were Kerry, one lesson learned from last election's debacle is that you don't want the media covering this as it goes along; it turns into a circus that is judged every night by those who watch the media. Gore couldn't produce convincing evidence right away, so the courts ruled against what he had. Kerry will not present his case until (unless?) he can produce convincing evidence that will stand up in court.

He also will not be the one who goes to court; he will present his findings (if they help the campaign) and leave it up to the other side to drag it into court or not (thus, the statement that this would be decided by the voters, not the courts- that was a dare to the Bush campaign).

What is it that is over? I don't spend any time on imagining Kerry in the WH, although I wouldn't rule it out. However, the idea that this is over seems hightly overly-optimistic to me. If the election theft is not stopped, things don't just bounce back magically to the way they were before the election. They stole this election for a reason - to steal the government, and they stole the government for a reason - they plan to use it for a very radical agenda, and that radical agenda will make everyone wish they had fought harder on the election theft.

People can run and hide from confronting this, but the next things they do will not be so easy to escape.

If they get away with stealing this election, things are far, far from over, they are just beginning. I think it is self-delusion to think that we can walk away from this and try again in 2008. This may be the last easy place to stop them. The election theft is just one step in a long series of steps, and it is the step they are most vulnerable on. It will now get worse, and it will be harder to stop them, and it won't go away.

How people think we can vote them out in 2008 and we couldn't this time is just beyond me. It will be much, much harder to stop them then.

If people are anxious for this phase to be over, and are ready to happily move on, then they haven't taken a very good look at this adminstration's grand strategy.

I don't know how many of them did lie or how many simply refuse to believe/report the truth, but I doubt they'll be charged with anything. I think their punishment will come in the form of lost viewer/readership. This is where the public will come to realize they don't need the MSM as they once did. When this news truly comes out, those who already have an inkling of what is going on will be able to fill in those who don't and that will lead to discussions of how the news was reported in the first place -- and, more, importantly, WHEN it was reported. I am one of those people who protested and fought against the Vietnam Police Action and for the right to vote for 18 year olds, so I am an old fart and I am new here also. I am very proud of the work and the fight that so many in here are willing to do to try and get the information out to the people about the horrendous vote fraud that has been perpetrated on the populace of this country. I know they did it back in 2000 but that was a trial for them, so to speak. They found out that the populace of this country will sit and do nothing as their freedoms and voting power are taken away from them. They did even more fraud in 2002. And 2004 was the last nail in the coffin. The people are not willing to protest enough to get the information out to others who don't know about this. Please understand that the majority of the population in this country gets all of their so called news from the television, so if it isn't there for them to see, whether a lie or the truth, then they have no idea. Hell, our own President has stated that he does not read the newspapers, so you all must realize that the general population surely doesn't.

My goodness, I have seen the dumbing down of our country right before my very eyes. The average college entrant knows far less than college entrants of 50 years ago. I am sorry if this bothers any of you but facts are facts. The average person out there- does very little reading and believes anything and everything that is handed to them by the news media. This goes for people of all political persuasions. The average people out there are happy as long as they have jobs and food in their bellies. This is the same as 1930s Germany people. We are in big trouble and I don't like the future that is there for us. These type of "elections" are all there will be in the future and most people will sit around and believe when the news media tells them that only mentally unstable people would believe that there was any fraud. You must have noticed how the Republicans has set up everything to make it almost impossible for us to get anyone to even listen to what we have to say. They have taken over the media over the last 12-20 years and they run most of the media anymore. I love Keith on MSNBC but he is only one person who has shown to have guts to go against the others out there. Have all of you listened to Hardball? He calls us all nut jobs. Even Democrats sound just like the damn Republicans anymore and that is what scares me.

I am ever so grateful to the Greens for doing the vote count in Ohio. I will never vote for a Democrat or a Republican anymore, if I ever vote again. The fact that the Democrats weren't even willing to have a recount shows that they also do not care about this country or the people in it. I am sorry to say people that it will probably take nothing less than a overall revolution to try and regain our wonderful country. We no longer have a Constitution that anyone cares for, as evidenced by the idiots who wish to have an amendment to allow foreign born naturalized citizens to run for President or the idiotic amendment about marriage being between a man and a woman. Even Clinton did not believe in states' rights and it is only getting worse anymore and will continue on until it is stopped dead in the tracks.

I am sorry to have made this so long but I am so upset seeing my country stolen out from under my very own eyes and I can't seem to do anything about it. Again, I apologize to all of you for my rant.

My problem now is that I am disabled and I am a moderate Democrats, which makes most Dems hate me. ...and maybe slightly beyond. Okay I'm an optimist, but things didn't really start to "happen" until about November 11 (only a week ago!!) The first week after the election, we were all still reeling, and regrouping our energies. In the last week however, a lot of recounts are going on, or are being requested. Nader, the Green Party, and People for the American Way, etc. have all joined on. BBV had a stellar week with that discovery of "trashed" tapes in Florida, 81% of provisional ballots in Ohio have been okayed, and even while we're not YET getting the TV coverage we deserve, we DO have Keith and Countdown, and a lot of on-line and AP news stories flowing.

AND most importantly...Kerry gave a local TV interview two days ago (on the Boston channel), in which...when asked about 2008 and about his loss in this election, Kerry ABRUPTLY replied, 'Listen, they're still counting votes.' He also said the he WASN'T 'closing any doors' OR 'opening any' YET.

While that may have been exactly the kind of vague Kerry comment which drove others crazy during the campaign, it 'spoke' to me as the Kerry I supported and believed in before the election, and continue to do so now. Besides, we also now know he still has considerable 'campaign money' left...which I assume would be convenient in any Voter Fraud litigation.

No, I'm NOT losing faith yet! Not by a long-shot! Though let's all visualize more Network coverage SOOOON!

How Kerry will be inaugurated on Jan. 20?

Florida has already certified. That state is done. Kerry's only "chance" is Ohio. But how will Kerry make up the 133,000 vote deficit in Ohio?

Here are the facts:

1. Provisional ballots - There are 155,000 prov. ballots. We're already reading reports that 10%-40% of these ballots are being thrown out, depending on the county. You have to assume at least 20% of these will be thrown out, taking that 155,000 down to 125,000. And these ballots are spread pretty evenly throughout the state (meaning, the prov. ballots are roughly equal to 1%-2% of the total vote per county).

2. Spoiled ballots - There are 92,000 "spoiled" ballots, meaning there is no clear vote for President. These are the infamous punch-card ballots. These will be counted only during the recount, which will happen AFTER the vote is certified by Ohio on Dec. 6. Contrary to Florida, Ohio has very strict standards for what counts as a vote with these ballots. The "chad" must be separated (perforated?)in 2 places for it to count. 1 chad or "dimples" will not count. Based on these rules, you have to assume at least 10% of these will be thrown out, taking that 92,000 down to 83,000.

125,000 + 83,000 = 208,000
Bush margin = 133,000 (136,000 minus the 3,000 mistake votes he got in that one county)

By my math, Kerry needs to take 82.2% of these prov. and spoiled ballots to win (171,000 to 37,000 = 134,000 plus for Kerry), assuming even the recount is finished before Dec. 13.

How in the hell is Kerry gonna take 82% of these, when these votes are spread throughout the state, a state that basically went 50-50?

Here is how I deal with it. I have already accepted the probability of another Bush presidency. It's likely.

Then, I remember the candidate I voted for. I remember the words at the end of his concession: Someone in the audience said, "Senator Kerry- I've got your back." Kerry replied, "and I've got yours. You'll see" or something to that effect.

At this point, I have no idea if Ohio or Florida will turn. But despite the disappointment of others and the quiet media, I am convinced that Kerry is working very quietly to win this election... still.

The John Kerry I voted for has too much class to drag the country through another circus like 2000. He doesn't need the spotlight; he just wants results. He may not know if he has anything, and if nothing ever comes up a quick concession was the right thing for the country. I would not expect him to say another thing about the election. Unless..... he can build an airtight case that no Bushista can argue with; a case so compelling there is no denying it.

Don't worry about whether it will happen or not. Just know that John Kerry has reported for duty, a duty he takes very seriously. I am convinced he is still working to become president this January.

I hope that gives you some confidence. It seems like a long shot, but out of all the potential tickets that could have been in this situation, Kerry, the prosecutor, the guy who busted BCCI, and Edwards, the trial lawyer, are the very two best men that could bring this home.

If they do, it will make a great movie. Sometimes life is the best movie.

Tremendously detailed comprehensive blog —

It gives the exact location in New York City of all of Rupert Murdoch’s empire, New York Post, Fox News, News Corporation (Murdoch’s big parent company — it owns almost everything else he’s got) — all of that — it’s all in a single building on 6th Avenue between 47th Street and 48th Street in mid-Manhattan. Murdoch’s own office is in the building too. We can be chanting against him right outside his window. All their offices are not on very high floors either — as low as the second floor — they’ll see and hear us and have to pass us on the way in. All those blow-hard Fox talking heads lying about the election — we’ll be in direct shouting matches with them as they come and go. And Fox itself is on the SECOND Floor. How good is their studio soundproofing in there????? Everybody at Fox is going to be bitching that they can’t get any work done. There’s no way they can hush this up.

He looks really mean and drunk in one of the film clips. Jack Daniels? And he’s on camera hotly lecturing us, “It is our duty as all loyal Americans to shut up.” The video nails him good — and Fox. Tired of being told to shut your trap? Open it. March against Fox and the rigged election in New York City.

But the idea is to put it all together, to protest and denounce Fox outside their offices for leading the COVER-UP of the election heist. It’s a shot across the bow to the rest of the media that they better start telling the truth about the election, or they’ll get protests like the one at Fox. All the national news media are based in Manhattan. They can’t say this protest was too out of the way to get to.

I am thinking the same thing. Man oh man how I want to believe. It's not that I don't, because I'd give practically anything to see Senator Kerry sworn in on January 20th. But after reading Bev Harris's piece and the judge in Ohio blocking the recount until it's certified in December, my faith is faltering.

I do believe that there is a lot going on behind the scenes that none of us are privy to. Why else would there be some 17,000 lawyers floating around? Why else would all the movers and shakers in the democratic party be so-o silent and placating the repugs? And I do think that the timing of Kerry's message last week, and the introduction of the children's health coverage bill had way more substance to it than we may see on its surface...but, even after all that's said and done....

but for some reason, I am starting to get pessimistic again that the Ohio Recount may or may not happen because they may need Kerry to get involved for it to be a reality. People are complaining the about the fact that he conceded the next day before ALL the votes were counted and that he didn't contest Florida, when there was widespread fraud, now he is getting slammed for it.

As of election night there were 155,428 provisional ballots still to be counted in Ohio. The eagerly awaited Ohio recount cannot possibly begin until after the votes are counted for the first time.

It is now Friday, November 26, 2004. Twenty-four days have passed since the presidential election. There are 88 counties in Ohio. To my knowledge, only 13 have examined their provisional ballots, counted them, and posted the results on their websites. The 13
counties are: Ashland, Brown, Butler, Clinton, Geauga, Greene, Hancock, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Tuscarawas, Union, and Warren.

Altogether, there were 23,873 provisional ballots issued in these 13 counties, or 15.36% of the
statewide total. At this rate, it would take five months to count them all. This strikes me as a
deliberate stalling tactic to delay the Ohio recount until after the electoral college meets in December.

Here are the unofficial results in the 13 counties, with the sum totals compared with those reported on election night, so as to compute the net gains:

When time comes to the recount the repugs will start their rebellion on the courts.
Thats when Kerry(out from the shadows) will take little geo by his ear to a secluded corner and inform him if the recount doesn`t go through,he will release everything he has. little geo is forced to duct tape his mouth and let the recount of Ohio continue.

The recount uncovers many missed votes "on machine glitch's" .
Kerry wins in the recount,gets the White House.

This will bury the bush election fraud story and little geo slinks off into the Crawford sunset.

United States redeems itself,no major fraud uncovered saving the US some credibility in the world.

Well, it's a toss-up. Many people don't think he is a real Texan. Apparently millions of Texans voted against him. Then again, millions voted for him. I think he sold a facade, a persona to most people. I live in a predominately GOP area BUT the Kerry Edwards yard signs and bumper stickers were multiplying like rabbits before the election. Everyday I wore KE buttons or anti-Bush t-shirts and people in public would say how much they liked them or where could they get them. I drove down the street with my no W sticker and my KE sticker and people would honk and wave. I saw lots of those no W stickers here. It's odd. I was at several polling places during early voting and tons of folks waved at me and/or told me that they voted KE. People from all walks of life. At the end of early voting, the last day, people waited 2-4 hours to vote...and we aren't a swing state. I was handing out bumper stickers and tons of folks stopped to visit with me and express their disgust for W. In the county where I live KE and W were neck and neck until election day. I think some good-ole-boys here (who BTW aren't good) padded the votes for W on account of his daddy. So, there you have it. As far as I can tell, many people here don't like him.

Firstly, I may have erred in using "Pickles" interchangeably with "Sweetness"; I thought both referred to Condi but I'm seeing my error now.

And okay, maybe it was a weird thought, or maybe they're putting something in the water here, but I got a picture in my mind, all at once, that looked like this:

Junior, upon reaching the pinnacle of his dreams, finally proving to 41 that he's not a wimpy one-termer, finds at the top of the mountain...nothing, really. It's pretty much only down from here. Somehow, the thrill drained out real quick-like.

I don't know that I would ever have credited Junior with such depth of feeling, though. Beyond that which he has for himself, I mean. I've sometimes wondered if his 'loyalty' to Rice, Cheney, and Rumsfeld is due to his feelings of friendship towards them or if it's simply because they know where the 'bodies' are buried. I'm more inclined to believe it's the latter.

As for Rice, herself, maybe Junior does have more tender feelings for her than I believe him capable of possessing. I don't think he has them for Pickles. She's one of his campaign props. The most familiar one, but still little more than that. Anyway, if he really does care for 'Sweetness', he should get her confirmed quickly. When the fraud is revealed and their admin. suddenly unemployed (at best), at least she will have attained the position of SoS once in her life, albeit very briefly. It would be better than ending her public career as a mere nominee, IMO.

So, I guess I could go either of two ways on this question. Either B*sh is delaying the SoS hearings to spare Condi the possible pain of losing a position she's held for only a few days or he's delayed them because he isn't going to let anyone else get comfortable until he's satisfied that the election is his.

Then there's ol' Colin... He's said he wouldn't leave until a successor was in place, but it feels like they're stringing him along for some odd reason. Could keeping him at State while the fraud unravels be important? The order of succession puts the SoS fourth in line to the presidency, so I doubt that's it, but I can't think of a reason they would deliberately keep Powell around.

It's all quite bizarre.

on www.cspan.org, in which Cliff Arnebeck, the attorney who is challenging Ohio's election returns, claims there is evidence that 100,000+ votes actually cast for Kerry migrated to Bush's column. Justice isn't always swift, but this man has given me a boost of hope. Additionally, the moderator on C-Span told Mr. Arnebeck that he has gotten a lot (his emphasis) of phone calls from callers who believed there was election fraud.

I keep thinking about Kerry's video sent to his supporters, leaving out the media. I do believe it was sent as reassurance that he hasn't forsaken us. He stressed again that he would ensure that every vote would be counted, & I know he meant it.

After getting over the initial shock, I now believe that Michael Moore's appearance on Leno last week was designed to keep the Republicans off guard. There is no way Michael Moore would cow down for the Republicans -- it was a theatrical ploy, imho. After making "Fahrenheit 9-11" & pushing it aggressively, how could we believe Michael Moore would cow down after a second stolen election?

1) Remember the news stories about Democratic voting registrations getting ripped up and Kerry votes getting switched to Bush? I do. Does that not make anybody else figure that the Republicans may have come prepared for recounts this time?

2) Assuming that Ken Blackheart didn't destroy the uncounted votes and any evidence of fraud, What makes you thin that Bush wouldn't fight in court against an overturning of the Ohio count? Between a Republican justice system, billions upon billions of dollars to spend on the world's best lawyers, the ability to delay final judgement until Summer when he only needs until January 20, and last but not least, lots of favors to call in, our chances are not good. Even if extremely compelling evidence of fraud (and no, potentially incorrect predictions don't count) was found this would be the first time our justice system made a downright idiotic decision.

Oh, and Bush ain't getting impeached. Since he'd never have his own John Dean, he'd never even get brought for it. Besides, the Democrats
will more than likely come out of 2006 with 56 Senate Seats at most, leaving enough Republicans to overturn impeachment.

I'd like to believe, really I would. I voted for Kerry, even knowing that it wouldn't matter because my state was going for Bush. Because I wanted Kerry to win, not Bush. But I don't believe in hope without rationality. And through rationality, I have concluded that when I watch the 2005 State of the Union Address, it will be George Bush and
Dick Cheney who stand before Congress.

The work you've done here and continue to do has already changed the public's perception. I have been lurking here since the election, and while I hadn't registered until now, I felt the same ups and downs as many here. I don't know if I can really contribute any more than you've already given, but I wanted you all to know that I've been spreading the word about election fraud among my co-workers and friends. I've been taking part in whatever online activism you all have recommended, whether it be writing to thank a columnist like NY Daily News' Juan Gonzalez or Kieth Olberman, or watching Countdown, signing a petition or emailing congress people etc. Your efforts are, I think, more far reaching than just what goes on here. Hopefully there are many more like myself who have been lurking and are sympathetic to your cause, but have for one reason or another not been ready to join DU. Ignore the FReepers. They are irrelevant. Their cynicism will be overcome by the passion of the real patriots here who serve as an inpiration to all Americans who care about their country, stand for its true ideals and values and care about their country's image in the world. Just wanted to say whatever the outcome, never despair! At the very least, you've shed doubt on the administration's assertion that there is a mandate for its policies. With the flood of press this story seems to be on the verge of getting, even more of the public will begin to open their eyes. Republicans who have any sense of right and wrong will have to ask themselves if they want to be part of a party that is as corrupt as it currently is. I myself am an ex-republican who had enough. I'd been a RINO for nearly a decade, but with Bush Jr. I finally left the Republican party and registered Democrat. Kerry is my president, no matter what comes of this.

Curtis was asked what he would conclude if there was such a substantial deviation btwn exit polls and actual results. He said he would conclude the election had been hacked. Gasps. Could have heard a pin drop.

In the end, curtis was very very convincing to everyone in attendance. He was a show stopper, a stunner. It was a really amazing moment."

that if I felt crushed on November 2 because I could still hear the desperate voices of the dems I called before the election, then Kerry must have felt the weight of the world. My campaign calls were a drop in the bucket compared to the massive amount of people that he got to know on the endless trail across America. One woman I called was so anxious to make Kerry president for her daughter who is stationed in Iraq that she wanted to know everything about her voting precinct so she could make sure her vote counted. All of November 3 I thought about her, there were so many people that I spoke with and each with a different reason for wanting Kerry in office but I kept thinking about how that Mom must have felt. I can't even imagine all the voices and stories and images that were going through Kerry's mind on November 3. I believe he understood the desperation of so many around the world. I don't believe he's given up, and neither have I.
