[email protected]Flower Mound approved what may be the most restrictive drilling ordinance in the Barnett Shale this week, as elected officials in the Denton County town remain wary of the impact of the natural gas boom on residents' health and quality of life.
The Town Council approved numerous changes to its ordinance Monday, including increasing the minimum distance between drilling operations and homes, schools, other habitable buildings or parks to 1,500 feet.
