8. Coming to Mpls/St Paul or Leaving?
Either way, thanks for sharing your pics! They would make awesome postcards.

Maybe you can appreciate my humor and sincerity since you are familiar with the Land of 10,000 Treatment Centers.

12 Steps to US Political Freedom

1 Admit that there is a drunken enraged elephant in the White House.

2 Come to believe in Democracy as a power greater than individuals acting alone.

3 Make a decision to invest in the Democratic process to the best of our ability.

4 Take an honest, yet compassionate look at our nation, as is, and evaluate which
parts are helpful and which will need to be changed to bring US back to the kind of
world leader our Founding Father's legacy of sacrifice demands of US.

5 Embrace Truth and our responsibilties to it, dwell upon truthful thoughts, speak our
Truth to one another and together speak Truth to the powers who obscure it.

6 Brace for the impact of our actions to Take Our Country Back stir up and prepare to
make any changes needed to return US to a solidarity of committment to stand up
for Liberty and Justice for ALL.

7 Humbly ask for help in these endevors, whether it means praying like Romans with
our eyes on fire or simply acknowledging that none of US can accomplish this alone.

8 Make 3 lists. First, people who can be trusted to champion Democracy regardless
of political party dictates. Second, people who have trashed the Constitution and
stripped US of our Civil Liberties. Third, those who must prove to US which list
they will be placed on based on actions.

9 Do 3 things. First, support our champions. Second, impeach or otherwise politically
hold accountable those who have done damage to US. Third, monitor the others and
put the fire under their feet to push them onto the first list whenever possible.

10 Honestly evaluate our daily actions and determine to which list we belong and why.

11 Go within to thoughtfully, soulfully reach our deepest reserves of strength and seek
out what is the right thing for US to do at this time with a faith that the momentum
of all that has gone before will support us in all we do.

12 Having become Democracy in action, rejoice in the process, bring others onto the
path, get out the vote, cast your vote and monitor those counting the votes and
teach others to do the same so Democracy is alive in thought, word and deed for
every successive generation. (short version, lather, rinse, repeat)

17. Unfortunately for us, bvar has left Minnesota
for a new spacious home in Arkansas! He's posted pics of the new place and it is lovely.

Thanks for the list, Tigress Dem.

Courage! 26 days to Neuter Bush Day.

9. Great shot of the capitol and cathedral

It makes them look like they're built out in a field somewhere.

Our daughter lives near Lake Calhoun so those two pictures, in particular, warm my heart. It is such a beautiful area.

15. Wow!
Sometimes I wish I had roamed from home more often. Maybe moved to new York or London even.

But here I still am 49 years later - and these amazing pics make it look like a pretty good choice!

16. Exxxxxxxcellent!

I have some I took around Lake Calhoun as well. I turned them black-and-white for dramatic effect. I took one of the ship's bell from the USS Minneapolis that came out fairly well, as well.

18. This reminds me of the old hand tinted postcards.
The colors and perspective give it that look.
