I was listening to KABC last night between 7 and 8 p.m. in the car and I heard what had to be one of the most racist things I've ever heard on the radio. Basically, Tammy Bruce was citing a poll that said that John Kerry was the favorite among Arab-Americans, and that because of this, voters should support Bush. She sunk even lower when she started urging Jewish voters to vote for Bush just because Arab-Americans were supporting Kerry.
She wasn't talking this way about people in Middle-Eastern countries. She was talking about Arab-Americans..Arab-AMERICANS!!! She was associating Americans with terrorism just because of their ethnic background. A Jewish college student called and said that the Arab-Americans he knew were nice to him. Bruce, while belittling him, told him that they might like him individually because they know him, but that they probably don't like Jewish people as a whole. What is wrong with her?
Let me say that I am totally opposed to censorship and think she has a right to her sickening opinions. But I feel like people should know about this, because it seems like she's not taking any heat for it. I checked KABC this morning, and she was filling in again, talking about Martha Stewart. She should have been apologizing for her racist comments.
