It's cheap, it's healthy, and it really works to get both makeup and dirt out. (I have dry skin - I don't know if would be good for oily skin; it's been a wonder for me.)

Haven't been a lot of prudes flaring up in this thread yet, and I'm glad of that. Just because nudity is associated with exploitation in people's minds here, does NOT mean that's universal, and it shouldn't be. From what I know of Brazilian women--and I'm related to many--they really are just proud of their bodies, and not just the ones as "perfect" as this girl. You see all body types on the beach, enjoying the sunshine with what the Goddess gave 'em.

There's a downside of course - the encouragement of vanity, the way cosmetic surgery is waaayyy too popular there (to my eyes anyway - on the other hand, they have decent affordable health care, so....), but I do applaud the culture for the simple basic realization that the human body is beautiful.
