Barack Obama and team = modern day Elliott Ness and team
Edited on Tue Dec-09-08 03:00 PM by scheming daemons
"Untouchables"

A corrupt politican tried to strong-arm the Obama team.

Rahm Emanuel said "Fuck you... we're not corrupt like you." and turned him into the feds.

Obama just keeps getting better and better.

Exposed the corruption, indicated that he's not like other politicians and actually is ethical, and comes out smelling like a rose.

His approval ratings, already at a high 79%, will go even higher.

Having it become public that you were offered a bribe, refused to accept it, and turned the briber into the feds is about as good as it gets as far as gaining the trust of the American people.

The freepers who thought this was a GOOD thing for their side will slowly start to see that it is the opposite... and the calls that Obama did this on purpose to drown out the birth certificate nonsense and look good in the process will commence in 5.....4.....3.....2.....

1. The thing that seals the deal for me
is the Blago is himself a Democrat. Shows Obama won't tolerate corruption within his own party--a good and quite refreshing thing.

3. Believe me... it will seal the deal with the remaining doubters too

This is Bobby-Kennedy-standing-up-to-Hoffa kinda good.

9. I agree. It's just that good. But I like pie...
So in pie verbage, it's not homemade deep dish apple pie with homemade vanilla bean ice cream on top.

OR (and this is one of my favorites) it's my grandmother's hot homemade pecan pie with homemade fresh peach ice cream on top.

7. Elliot Ness was no role model ... not by a long shot. There was no balance - only obsession.

14. Would he have gone after IranContra, BCCI or CIA drugrunning? He COULD open those books, still, IF
he was truly anti-corruption. So far, only a VERY FEW in DC have had that type of courage.

18. All it would take is for him to ALLOW access to info - he wouldn't have to do anything else.
And we all KNOW the 9-11 commission was FORCED to begin in 1998 just to keep the truth about the DECADES of the BFEE thugs' funding of global terror networks.

Forgive me, I have no claim of brilliance but often times I pick up on a thing or two.

Perhaps I'll come onto something OR perhaps I'm just getting the first inklings of a bad cold. :P

Have a good day - I'm gonna do some RESEARCH ... some Goggling. :hi:

12. Fine... go research....

Whatever it is that you are not sure about.

But I'm telling you what the political fallout of this will be.

It will be incredibly GOOD for Obama.

"Breath of Fresh Air" kinda good.

"Our new Prez won't take no shit from corrupt politicians or lobbyists" kinda good.

We couldn't have staged a better story for Obama. I wouldn't be surprised if Rahm set this up on purpose, knowing what kind of scumbag Blogo is and knowing how he'd act.

16. Where is the link indicating Rahm had anything to do with this?
Gov B says the Obama folks wouldn't "offer anything more than gratitude so F***K them" but no one knows to whom he spoke if anyone. Obama todays says he was unaware of the attempt to sell his senate seat.
I see nothing to indicate Rahm was involved in this investigation ion any way.

Edited on Tue Dec-09-08 03:48 PM by ErinBerin84
local reporter Jack Conaty. I have the link on the HuffPo thread, and he just said that it was from a tip.Not sure if anyone else has the same reporting, but not a whole lot at this point.

23. It's awesome, and it sends a clear message.
Democrats can not expect to get "paid" to support Obama's agenda. It's wonderful.

The United States is a LIBERAL Country.
