SARAH PALIN: EVERY WOMAN'S WORST NIGHTMARE - pictures from our rally tonight
We had a HUGE rally tonight before the debate to say no to Sarah.

It was a fabulous evening. The signs at the rally were awesome!! This was my favorite:

Some other good ones:

And we were serenaded!

There were some fabulous costumes!!

Mother Nature was there to remind America that Sarah hasn't been very nice!

Then this man in the Royals shirt came by. He was at the park with his family. First his kids started running by us yelling "McCAIN!" Then he walked over and was standing close to me when he turned to his daughter who was about 8 and said (actually he yelled) "Caitlin, look! These people think I should have killed you before you were born!"

I turned to him and said "That was a horrible thing to say to your daughter!"

So then he just went off and railed on about killing babies. "It ain't choice, it's killing babies!" And I told him we didn't want him to lose the right to choose either. He said something about being smart and I asked him how smart it was to confront a crowd of 100.

He walked away for awhile and then he came back with his wife and started arguing with my friend (DUer Galoglas). The wife was drinking and not very articulate. She accused Galoglas of assaulting her kids, which was completely off the wall. Someone suggested calling the police and the wife said "Go ahead, we OWN the fire department!"

Yeah I didn't get it either.

So someone called the police and Royals fan and his drunk wife called someone (or maybe the fire dept) but didn't talk long and then they walked away and a limousine pulled up. The kids all piled in and we thought good, they are leaving. (I was also thinking wtf a limousine!?)

Then the cops pulled up, siren blaring.

No one got arrested, cops talked to everyone and the limo eventually left.

And we all went to a watch party to watch the debate.

16. one way to self-abort when abortions were illegal
was to insert a wire hanger into the vagina, through the cervix and try to stop the progress of the fetus developing. Brutal, brutal times.

Christina, there can never be wire hangers again!

8. The limo is the perfect symbol for a McCain supporter.
They say it's about the baby-killing, but it's really all about the threat to their materialistic existence.

The "Free Levi" sign is great, but the "Palin scares me more than Cheney" was absolutely confirmed during the debate. Thanks for a great photo journal! :hi:

25. Bizarre
The guy was just nuts. And I didn't mention his teenage son who kept coming over and telling us that Jesus loved us all.

But I swear, I about lost it when they all got in that limo.
