2. Me Neither
Never could understand how a person could stand up and lie to the world and then go home and face himself in the mirror just for a salary--it's not like he had the power to do anything. Not that I would lie for power, but I can at least understand that. But money????

3. I don't know...don't get too excited.

At least he got visibly frustrated when hawking the bullshit. It was often quite transparent. Maybe they are gonna get someone who can keep it together better and sling the bull like he means it.

I think Scotty was the public face of the internal meltdown and divisions of the (mis)administration. I, actually, would prefer him these days. I don't want someone who can tell these whoppers with a straight face, as it adds legitimacy to what is being said. Scotty getting pissed off every other day was a good thing.

I think him leaving is good for * and was a wise call by whoever made it (Bolton?).

8. Scotty resigned, the first to take Bolten's offer!
I think whoever replaces him will be just as transparent; you can't polish a turd. With the lack of truth and facts these people have to try to sell, I don't know how anyone can seem legitimate.

4. Local Fox affiliate just announced it, too
No details yet.

Considering the impact that kind of stress has on ordinary human beings, I expect Scotty's corpulent little body to just flat give out in the next five years.

5. So who will take his place?
I will sort of miss Puffy McMoonface's bloviating and spinning.

I suspect they will put someone in with 'gravitas.' :sarcasm:

6. McClellan to go in for major surgery...
Scott McClellan to have emergency surgery on his tongue which is tied into irreversable knots from all the lying and spinning he has done over the past few years.

14. "Better the Devil you know than the Devil you don't"
Depending on whom they replace him with, it could be worse, and I expect it will be. Smoother, perhaps with a national reputation/name recognition, but with the same goals and objectives. NIcer, smoother, but just as useless. Also after midterms, watch how the press gets treated, most likely worse than it is now, regardless of how the elections go.
