1. Interesting. It's Cindy Neighbor. The second political candidate
from this area to switch from the Repubs to the Dems this year.

“We haven’t left the Republican Party,” Neighbor said Friday. “They left us.”

She said conservative GOP leaders were not interested in compromise or working with moderate Republicans.

“The leadership of the Kansas Republican Party and Johnson County Republican Party has become inflexible and intolerant,” Neighbor said, adding they don’t accept viewpoints that differ from their own.

If she can convince me she's not a DINO, I'll be happy to listen!

I'm happy she's at least realized that about her party. I do wish they would try to change their party instead of leaving. :(

4. "Republican Party has become inflexible and intolerant,”
If she just figured that out I would bet she was from Kansas. They seem to be quite slow around that part of the country.. The Republican Party has been inflexible and intolerant for several decades...

2. Where has Cook been the last 5 years?
“I’ve always said her principles were contrary to the Republican principles of limited government,” Cook added.

5. well then... i will be the first to welcome her to dem party, since
this board likes bashing fellow dems so much. i say, this woman is new to dem party, not used to her own people bashing her (seeing how repugs blindly follow and praise their own). something she is going to have to get use to in her new party huh. so i will be the first to leave the bashing for another day, and welcome our new member to our party.

oh, and i am not a dem,..... so i guess it is a non dem that sees it as only courteous to welcome this woman to the party

6. Actually, she joined the Dems because the conservative Repubs
who have taken over Kansas have been bashing and bullying moderates like herself for years now. I'm happy to see moderates jump ship to join our party, as long as they share our goals.
