The idea: Russ Feingold DU Group

The Mission Statement: The mission of the Russ Feingold Group is to create a network of DU members who support Russ Feingold's political future and admire him as an independent voice for reason, courage, and liberty. The group can discuss news and stratagies important to the Feingold movement.

Feingold sends his congressional pay raises back to the US Treasury. If your congressman does that please let us know.

Feingold stood alone and opposed the US Patriot Act. Not because it was popular and not because the pollsters said so.

He's not my first choice for presidential candidate, but at this point he's my second choice, and apart from that, I really admire him and would like to learn more about him.

Feingold has political courage -- voting against IWR and the Patriot Act. I don't agree with his vote for Condi, but I didn't agree with Howard Dean on everything either.

32. I dislike Kerry for voting for IWR, No Child Left Behind, the Patriot Act

and Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy, of which Kerry is a member.

It took losing an election to Dubya, that Kerry should have easily won, to make him realize that he was out of step with the nation. Kerry is a SLOW learning and that makes him incompetent for the Executive Office. He won't get my vote if he's the 2008 Dem Prez nominee.
