my boyfriend is worried that he's going to lose his job.

he's been with the restaurant since it opened in december and is the only original member of the crew who is still there. his boss has been telling other people in the kitchen that he's looking for a reason to fire my boyfriend (which i find to be horribly tacky and just bad management), but he's not talked to my boyfriend about any problems that may exist.

my boyfriend isn't perfect, no one is, but he busts his ass for that place. he went on salary and works extra hours, comes in if they need extra help and is the most reliable guy in the kitchen.

he's already talked to management about this (i don't know that they can prevent any firing) but they said they wouldn't contest an unemployment claim and he trusts them and rightfully so.

the biggest worry, of course, is money. i've got a part time job and my unemployment, but it's nowhere near enough to cover both of our expenses and our roommate just took a job at a substantial pay cut and won't be able to chip in.

we're getting his resume together and he's got some letters of recommendation coming in and is going to start looking for another job. all i can say is thank gods that he has no debt, so he can afford to take a bit of a pay cut.

if you guys can just toss some good thoughts our way that things will work out one way or another, i would really appreciate it.

i've gotta run to work now, but i'll check back when i get home.

Your loyalty and your commitment to your guy. You know what? It doesn't matter if he gets the job that he wants or if he cuts the mustard with some future employer.
