What’s the hardest rocking video you got?
The one that makes you not care what the neighbors think about the noise?

Some guitarists have that extra ability that most others can't touch. He's one of them. I can't believe the tepid response at the end. Maybe they were just so gobsmacked they couldn't respond. That's an amazing performance.

10. I don't have that one
But I grew up with them, and I've seen them live and can play a few of their songs on guitar. They're pretty well etched in my DNA at this point. Alex Lifeson is one of my favorite guitarists.

I've seen 'em live only twice, but both great shows.

I am very limited on what I can play on guitar, but Lifeson has always been an inspiration.

27. Get a Rush songbook
I spent two years locked in the basement with an anthology of their first six or seven albums and my guitar, plus cassettes of all the albums covered therein. Did wonders for my guitar playing. Lifeson is such a master guitarist that even if you can play his stuff half-assed, you're not doing too badly.

The solo in Limelight still sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it, and it's soooo easy to play if you have the sustain to hold the notes.

And after all, nobody wanted to follow them onstage after 1970 or so. So here's Grand Funk Railroad. The sound is really shitty. And I didn't know Don henley was ever in that band.

It's got that Middle Eastern motif in there, similar to Deep Purple's Perfect Strangers. But I suspect you'll like this far better than Deep Purple:

Cop Shoot Cop
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RbnshwWL-A

Any Day Now

It's nice to finally see some Cop Shoot Cop on the 'tube. They're still missing most of the best songs, but there's some good b-sides out there like the one above. Now if I could only find It Only Hurts When I Breathe, Cut to the Chase, Everybody Loves You (when you're dead), etcetera.

33. I'm a closet Purple head, and like Cop Shoot Cop too!
Ritchie Blackmore is an early guitar-playing influence for me. I saw DP on the "Perfect Strangers" reunion tour when I was fifteen-- thirteenth row on the floor for that one. My band warms up sometimes on "Space Trucking" or "Highway Star", too.

Cop Shoot Cop's sound is so cool-- two bass players is a hell of a plan. Thanks for posting those!
