5. Tell the nurse you have a headache
maybe she'll let you lay down in her office for a while.

6. Unfortunately, we do not have a nurse however...
there is a cot in the assistant principal's office. But he's a big jerkhead( just ask my mom) and I really do despise him so that would probably keep me awake. lol...why don't schools have nurses anymore? :wtf:

7. Install a lamp on the headboard of your bed.
Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 10:28 AM by Jamastiene
Read a book.

If that doesn't make you sleepy, put that book up and find one that bores you enough to put you to sleep. Read a page a day or however much you can stand until you drift off to sleep.

If that doesn't work, do that thing we all do when no one is looking. THE most important part is: do it right. It'll knock you out quite nicely. If not, either you aren't doing it right or you need to change the on/off status of the lamp. Sometimes, I find the having the lights on makes it more...how shall I put this? Effective?

Er, you were talking about getting sleep in bed and not in class, weren't you? :P

11. No offense, but, one closing one's door and laying across one's bed
does not mean one has gone to bed. And, one was not in bed at midnight on Sunday...which is way past a decent hour in one's mother's opinion.

12. OK one was doing an 8 page paper on sunday...
one does go to bed prior to midnight on the rest of the nights unless one does not have school and is out.

17. LOL. This conversation could be happening in my own home.
TM goes to 'bed' at a decent hour and then texts her friends until the 'wee' hours. :eyes:

19. Does she nap when she comes home? TM does.
She'd do it every day if she could. Never mind that the laundry is piled up to the ceiling. :eyes:

20. Nik's room is a laundry carpet...and she "HAS NOTHING TO WEAR..."
 <<<her tears, not mine (well sometimes mine)

She takes 4 hour naps, but she was "studying"...If she can study with her eyes closed than it would be safe to assume she can sleep with her eyes open...ergo, no need for the OP. :)
