I have sinned...
I have been a coffee drinking fool for the last two days after not drinking it for two weeks (just about). What can I say? I tried. It's not good for me...or the Grumpy household...for me not to be drinking that pot a day. forgive me.

Have a good day everyone. I feel better now that I have gotten that off my chest.

1. Is that all? I thought maybe you went on a shopping spree at Wal-Mart!
Now that would be a sin.

Your body, your health, you're not hurting anyone else. No need to apologize.

as all of us have wildly varying metabolisms, I'm compelled to report that my irregular hearbeat has completely been healed and my stress level has decreased miraculously by switching to "Good Earth's" green tea 4 months ago. It has lemon grass in it and is exquisite.

But I never even like coffee that much in the first place and used to put so much cream in it that I was known as "the ridiculously light lady" at several local coffee shops.

Different habits work for different folks.

Body wisdom is so important.

10. My irregular heartbeat was not caused by caffeine. I've got no other
vices...It's just horrid. On the whole, I felt no different without it, except for the crashing headaches. Strange. But I figure there is worse that I could be doing. :hi:

14. yeah
I typically never get headaches but I know what you mean about the headaches from caffeine withdrawal, that's why this time, I weaned myself with one cup of very weak Darjeeling (black) tea for two weeks, followed by two small pots of Green tea. Then I gave up the black tea entirely. I had no headaches at all but then again, green tea is not entirely caffeine free. The concentrations vary wildly, but it's tons milder.

11. Don't feel bad. It's an extremely powerful addiction.
That and Coca-Cola are the two hardest things to kick in my world. Right now I'm trying to kick Coke. I doubt I'll ever stop drinking coffee, unless my doctor tells me to for some very serious acute health reason.

13. I'm glad I kicked the coffee
I have a cup every once in a while, but it is a long way from the 1 - 2 pots a day. I stick to green tea these days. But, I understand your pain.

20. Its OK MrsG, but have you ever tried
Sugar Free Red Bull (kinda pricey) or green tea? I gave up coffee years ago (headaches, poor sleep patterns) and switched over to those.

They consider coffee drinking a sin. I consider it a blessing.
