26. No, there is an actual scandal to this one.
I read about it in Vanity Fair.

He and his wife have a stylist and there are three-way and/or lesbian love rumors going around about this woman, she is a wild-child, well known over there. Can't remember her name.

28. Here's some of the gossip, his wife's stylist picks his clothes
"LONDON: Britain’s tabloid press said Sunday that unconfirmed allegations about Prime Minister Tony Blair by a convicted Australian fraudster would re-ignite a scandal surrounding his wife Cherie.

Britain’s weekly newspapers jumped on claims in a forthcoming book by Peter Foster that his former fiancée Carole Caplin — long-term lifestyle adviser to Cherie Blair — exerted “extraordinary influence” over the prime minister.r.

“She picked his clothes, right down to his underpants. I believe that Carole is in love with Tony, and I was caught in that triangle,” Foster claimed, according to the Sunday Mirror.

He has said Blair would have to resign if all his material, which showed how dependant the prime minister had become on the former topless model and dancer, was published. Foster, 40, hit the headlines in late 2002 when it emerged he negotiated knock-down rates on two apartments for Blair’s wife Cherie, who was then forced to deny interfering to prevent his deportation from Britain. Mrs Blair has confirmed — and publicly regretted — that Foster helped her to find and buy two apartments in Bristol, west England, where the Blairsrs’ eldest son Euan is at college."

30. I've never had to go anywhere to see that.
Just look out my window, or turn on the news.

We are SO declasse'. What happened? Has America ever been sophisticated. I grew up watching old Perry Masons and I thought that was what adults acted like. I thought all the men were Paul and the women acted like Katharine Hepburn.

24. Not just them, me too.
That's the only button to fasten on a 3 button single brested jacket. Except for this incredibly heavy Scotish tweed I have. The way it's cut you button all the buttons against the miserable Scottish weather.

33. Me, a Brit!
I'm no Brit, John. I'm a native born Texas who grew up in a French/English speaking home. It's just that most of these 2 and 3 button jackets are cut to use only one. And when you sit down you unbutton that one. Some other sartirical advice from my Grandfather-match the width of tie, shirt colar and lapel; the trousers should break slighlty over the front of the shoe.

35. It's mostly the difference in UK and US fashions in menswear.
Edited on Mon Oct-04-04 09:23 PM by Spider Jerusalem
Classic English tailoring gives a much cleaner and more natural line than the Italian-influenced look that's been popular in the US for the greater part of the past 15-20 years...Italian-cut suits tend to be a bit looser and baggier-looking.
