Think about it. When they bleep "goddamn" on TV, they bleep "God," not "damn," When they bleep "asshole," they bleep "hole," not "ass."

Is "Godhole," therefore, a curse word?

Otherwise, it sounds like a neologism my brother would have come out with when he was about four. He used to call people "baskets" (I believe he meant "bastard.")

It is a delightful idea to think about confounding the censors, though. In the late 60's, the Smothers Comedy Brothers Hour was under such close observation by CBS that Dick and Tommy started to play games with them. There was a young executive who worked for the network that everyone knew was the snitch. So the Smothers's would arrange for him to be at a practice where they would use some completely nonsensical phrase like "rowing to Galveston." Tommy would leer and say "yeah, she's really rowing to Galveston. (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)" And the cast would all laugh like it was the dirtiest thing in the world. Two days later they would receive a formal letter from CBS absolutely forbidding them from using the obscene phrase "rowing to Galveston" on broadcast television.

That's why I like "Godhole." Drive 'em crazy trying to figure out what to do with you. Make 'em change the rules just for you.
