Poll question: Do you watch Countdown, The Daily Show, Both, or Neither?
Do you watch:

A) The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central

or

B) Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC

4. Jon is not 100% better than Craig Kilborn.
He is at least 300% better.

5. Dropped cable, now we only watch
our local NBC affiliate. Watch the end of Leno, Conan O'Brien, and sometime Carson Daly and the rerun of evening news afterwords.

And Colts games during football season. ;)

6. They're both must-sees.
But I do wish that TDS was on 5 nights a week.

And I wish Olbermann didn't take so many damn vacations.

8. Just the Daily Show
No reflection on Olberman. I just don't get to the TV at that time and my husband is usually watching sports of some kind or other. We gotta start remembering to tune into Keith.

9. Countdown is rerun half an hour after TDS.
Just in case you're still awake.

10. Countdown is nothing but headlines
Edited on Sun Jul-31-05 03:53 AM by imenja
no investigative journalism, no discussions of political topics. I learn nothing from the show, so I don't bother watching it. I guess if I just wanted to hear views I like repeated to make myself feel better, I'd watch it, but I don't need that. I like to learn something from a news program, and I don't learn anything from Countdown. In terms of TV
news, I watch PBS, BBC America, 60 Minutes, and Nightline. The rest, in my opinion, is a waste of time. I occasionally tune in to the cable shows to see what is dominating the broadcast media, but not because I consider them informative.

I watch the Daily Show because it's funny, not because I think it is news. Even Stewart knows it's fake news, comedy. Too bad people don't pay attention to what he says about that.
