What, are pigs flying around???

Mr. Bouncy came home from work and told me his FUNDIE, bush-lovin' boss TOTALLY disagrees on the Schiavo issue. He thinks her tube should remain out and the government should have never gotten involved beyond the courts that have decided it.

He told him he knows some of the churches involved with the protests in Florida (he's a HUGE Baptist) and he's "embarrassed by their behavior." He furthermore said "This is the first thing I have ever disagreed with bush about."

Dear Lord, I nearly fell over.

This guy maxed out on his contributions to bush's campaign AND helped to raise thousands more dollars. He went to DC to see the coronation. He has a FRAMED, autographed picture of Chimpy McCokeSpoon over his desk, for crying out loud.

Wow. Just....wow.

1. Most people who vote Republican these days
are really Libertarians who bought into the argument that the Liberrals were out to make a huge government that looks into every aspect of your life from the cradle to the grave.

They're experiencing buyer's remorse right now and Democratic Leaders should capitalize on it by nationalizing the issues in '06.

4. Democratic leaders should capitalize on it, huh?
I agree, they SHOULD.

Now, seeing as we probably won't see that, I'm going to go throw myself on my bed and cry in frustration, ok?

(They should also be making hay out of the fact that the VA is underfunded by $1 billion for 2006, there is a new veteran's tax of $250 annually, 30% of all National Guardsmen and Reservists have no health coverage and veteran's prescription medicines went from $7 to $15, but.....they aren't......again, going to have a crying fit now.)

12. Yeah, well
it actually is quite a dilemma for both of us. His boss and his boss's boss are father and son. They are WONDERFUL to him. I mean, seriously, wonderful. They consider him like a part of their family. If my husband walked up to either of them and said "I need to borrow some money" they'd bust out their checkbooks, no questions asked at ALL. They are generous with his pay and bonuses (but he does really good work, too). If I walked in and said "I need a job" they'd hire me on the spot. They've tried to before. (My own family used to own the business before they took it over in a friendly takeover.)

BUT....but. You know. So it's kind of a conflict for us.

8. Oh. My. God.
We are BOTH on Cloud Nine over that. Seriously. Whenever I drove anywhere today, I felt like I could never get out of my car, because I wanted to hear everything they were saying! LOL!

He listened to it on his long commute in and long commute home. Said it was a breath of fresh air (he was actually listening to right wing shit just to hear what they were saying--he doesn't get his blood pressure up easily...).
