Could we please stop re-fighting the primaries?
I'm absolutely apalled at the number of posts here that continue to re-hash the 'My candidate would have done better than Sen. Kerry in the GE/Your candidate would have been blown out in the GE' arguments. If we're ever going to learn and profit from the lessons of the '04 GE, one thing we must do a priori is to quit fighting the '04 primaries. None of us can make a statement based on any objective evidence that Candidate X would have done better or worse than did Sen. Kerry, and to keep picking at the scabs only distracts us from our most vital mission: how to WIN in '06, and then in '08.

Can we please bury the primary hatchet, and not in each other?

Thank you.

1. Boy Howdee.
Man, this party needs some leadership and coordination yesterday. Or the day before.

Dear DNC and all its little ships at see:

Get yer' heads out of your asses and your asses out of the latest trendy bar and bust a move.

Love,

-T.

3. Oh, I know.
My gripe is that I fail to see the point in such activity.

4. Please?
Since Iowa has received the brunt of much of the bashing, I would be quite happy if it ceased right now.
We feel bad enough already going from a blue state to a red state.

7. Guiliani, Cheney, Bush, Rove would have lied about any of our candidates
and there would have been a "XXXX for Truth" about any of them as well.

And it would have been just as relentless and just as well funded.

And the mainstream media would have treated any of our candidates as badly -- by never letting them speak for themselves (poorly summarizing what the Dem said, while presenting Bush's best clips directly)

So agreed, this is a pointless and self-destructive exercise.

9. This woulda coulda shoulda has been shameful and absurd.
We'll never know whether XXXX woulda coulda shoulda - but we do know that Kerry/Edwards was a great ticket, which I, and many others believe, got more votes than the Cheaters. But looks like we won't be able to prove that one either.

But using this loss to re-live petty spats and grind dull axes is sad to witness at DU.

10. It was a solid ticket.
We did well, all things considered.
