on the same or different threads? Whomever has the highest bid (say at time X), gets that days paper.

Another way would just be to post that you have the 24 papers, so the highest bidder(s) between that point in time and a set time a few hours away gets them. As long as there are over 24 posts, you can get rid of them all in one go in a short time.

It all depends on how much you want to drag it out...

has been a plague upon our city.

Looks like Kerry's campaign decided to launch a pre-emptive strike at the Post. One of the things I like about Kerry is that he knows how to get down and dirty with the repugs. Dean's people seemed too naive when Kerry used some questionable tactics against them. One of the most memorable things from the campaign is when couple of minutes after Edwards took the stage on his big primary night, Kerry knocked him off television by coming on stage himself. While it's not fun when these type of things are used against your guy, it will be a whole lot of fun to see the tables turned on the repugs for a change.
