UK GuardianFormer News of the World newsdesk executive Greg Miskiw has said he is preparing to return to the UK and that his lawyer has been talking to the British police "for some time" over his alleged role in the phone-hacking scandal.
Speaking outside his home in Florida the executive, whose name appears on a contract with former News of the World private investigator Glenn Mulcaire, identified by a pseudonym, told reporters: "I am returning to the UK voluntarily. My solicitor has been talking to the police for some time now so I have effectively been in touch with the police. They know where I am and they know I am returning. That is all I have to say."
Miskiw declined to say if he expected to be arrested or whether he authorised hacking at the newspaper, or if he had hacked the voicemail of Milly Dowler, the Surrey schoolgirl who was murdered in 2002.
He left News of the World in 2005 and had been living in Manchester, but is now based in the Delray Beach area of Florida, a leafy neighbourhood close to the beach.

Former News of the World news editor Greg Miskiw talks to the Telegraph's Jon Swaine8:31PM BST 21 Jul 2011
Greg Miskiw (video at above link), Delray Beach, Florida
Mr Miskiw, alleged to have been one of a select handful of “gatekeepers” authorised to order phone hacking, told The Daily Telegraph outside his hideaway in Florida that his solicitors had been talking to officers from the Metropolitan Police “for some time”.
“I’m returning to the UK momentarily,” he said outside his flat in Delray Beach, Florida. “My solicitors have been talking to the police for some time now.
“They know where I am and they know I’m returning. That’s all I have to say.”
Asked if he expected to be arrested, as several of his ex-colleagues have been, Mr Miskiw, said: “I don’t know”.

Mr Miskiw — notorious for once saying of the NotW’s activities: “That is what we do - we go out and destroy other people’s lives” — then sped off in his dark orange Saab convertible.

"That is what we do -- we go out and destroy other people's lives." ----Greg Miskiw, NOTW, July 19, 2011
According to the
Palm Beach Post on July 21, 2011:
Miskiw worked for AMI's The Globe in Boca Raton for about two months earlier this year but left several months ago, a spokesman said. In June, Miskiw incorporated a company, News Team LLC, according to the Florida secretary of state's office.
Hope the authorities will arrest him upon his arrival back in the UK. Florida has enough unindicted criminals already.
Private investigators
Glenn Mulcaire and Steve Whittamore, and former senior journalists at News of the World,
