(News Corp.) Paper Publishes More Photos
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,157242,00.html

BAGHDAD, Iraq — A British tabloid published more revealing photographs of Saddam Hussein in U.S. custody on Saturday, a day after it ran a front-page picture of the former Iraqi leader naked except for his underwear.

The International Red Cross, which is responsible for monitoring prisoners of war and detainees, said the photographs violated Saddam's right to privacy. The U.S. military condemned the publication and ordered an investigation of how the pictures were leaked to The Sun.

Saturday's pictures included one of Saddam seen through barbed wire wearing a white robe-like garment, and another of Ali Hassan al-Majid, better known as "Chemical Ali," in a bathrobe and holding a towel...

The New York Post, which is also owned by Rupert Murdoch, also published the photos on Friday.

(The Sun, the New York Post and FOX News Channel are all owned by News Corporation.)

1. With the polls tanking, guess we needed a reminder about how Shrub the
Wonderful got such adoration. What better way than to post humiliating pictures of the Evil Doer. All Hail King George

2. Funny they haven't made these pics available on the Internet
The only thing they are letting us see is a picture of the picture. I guess they don't want us Photoshoppers looking too closely. We might find out how much they've been doctored?

4. There's only one way to undo the damage these pictures are causing
The Sun needs to publish pictures of George W. Bush in a leather thong.

I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it. It would be like that movie "Fail Safe" where a nuke is accidentally dropped on Moscow, and in order to prevent World War III, we have to drop another one on ourselves.

Bush probes Saddam's pants

By TOM NEWTON DUNN

GEORGE Bush yesterday launched a probe into how pictures of Saddam Hussein in his underpants were leaked.

His spokesman said: “He has been briefed. He wants to get to the bottom of it.”

Mr Bush stressed he did NOT believe The Sun’s snaps yesterday would cause a backlash in Iraq.

The fascinating photographs — which also show the fallen tyrant, 68, washing his socks and sleeping in his cell — provided the first glimpse of his life in captivity..........

6. "senior MoD sources"--"top brass..secretly pleased"--u...mmmm

from the lasted SUN post just above:

..........And the US President was quick to dismiss frenzied claims that the pictures could trigger more attacks on British or American soldiers.

Mr Bush said: “I don’t think a photo inspires murders. I think insurgents are inspired by an ideology that is so barbaric and backwards that it’s hard for many in the western world to comprehend how they think.”

The Pentagon confirmed the pictures are genuine but insisted the photographs did not come from an official leak.

However, senior MoD sources last night revealed top brass on both sides of the Atlantic are secretly pleased.
