(53,035 posts)it enables legalized corruption. That isn't my disagreement with Sanders supporters. It is that the personalize the issue as about Sanders virtue vs. Clinton's supposed greed. They repeat his claim that he "doesn't take money from Super Pacs," ignoring that no candidate takes money from Super Pacs and the fact Super Pacs are in fact operating for Bernie, including one led by a former high-ranking staffer.
They circulate outdated and misleading memes saying Clinton takes money from banks. She does not and cannot. Banks can donate to Super Pacs, but their money is going to the GOP, and that has been the direction of their support since 2008.
Additionally, I submit it is impossible to address problems in campaign financing if one doesn't understand the nature of the law and how it actually works.
