2016 Postmortem
Showing Original Post only (View all)New Iowa poll unlikely to be covered by the MSM [View all]
Because this poll has Hillary leading Sanders by a 25% margin (48-23%).
The fact that this poll was conducted with just a one - day difference after the Desmoines Register poll where Sanders was down by just 7% suggests that the DM poll may have been an outlier.
But this would not make for good yellow anti-Hillary horse-race journalism
The New York Times won't go nuts about it. Politico won't go nuts about it.

Was the previous poll conducted before or after Sanders announced he was running?

At this point, it's pretty much impossible to deny that the media is anti-Hillary. nt

I consider the Des Moines Register the expert on Iowa - AS THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN.

Des Moines Register/Bloomberg has been the standard-bearer for Iowa polling.

Do you dispute the Des Moines Register/Bloomberg poll is the standard bearer?

The Des Moines Register is THE polling for Iowa and it has always been that way.

And where can we find anything about them being THE polling for Iowa? I've never heard that before.
