Ashley does currently live in Williamson county, TN, to be near to her mom and sister. I grew up right across the river from Ashland, KY , where her family has lived for generations, and can assure you that people understand why the Judds had to move away to pursue their careers, and they are very proud of them. The Judds come back to visit frequently and are great "ambassadors". Ashley is often caught on camera at basketball games of her alma mater UK, fanatically cheering for the Wildcats. Everyone in Appalachia has family who have had to.move elsewhere for work, and I think the fact that Ashley wants to return and give something back will be seen as a.positive thing.
