4. When something bad happens to some of us

and we may pray to God or ask God's help, we are told "God helps those who help themselves" and stuff like that. I can say this from personal experience.
But now that my wife's small child is living with us, it's a "blessing from God." Which is true, but the point I'm trying to make is that if the deity is only around during good times, and the bad things are our own fault and we can't ask him/her/it for help during said bad times, then what good is the deity? It has absolutely nothing to do with "removing God from schools" or anything like that. That is just an excuse so that these charlatans (yep I said it) can get their names on tv.
One more thing, I mentioned my wife's child now living with us. Want to guess who paid for all that? Want to know who had to cut through two government's red tape beauracracy for this "blessing from god" to happen? That's right, it was me. So once again I ask, "Hey god, how about some help here?" We need the money.
