...I think it might give a lot of viewers, even staunch Hillary voters, something of an epiphany. In the back of my mind I knew this, but watching this little video brought it home that most people expect a certain type of humor from their president, the one they've been seeing from Obama for eight years, and that they saw from Bill Clinton for his eight. Languid and joking with friends. And it's perfectly understandable that this is what we are used to. Also that if we don't see it in Hillary, we may feel a disconnect.
But Hillary's humor is far more deadpan. If you key into that...well, it's like those pictures that stop being one thing and become something else. "Oh...I get it..." This video, IMHO and remarkably enough, gets that through to the viewer. All you see is Hillary, and the comparing goes away, the disconnect goes away, and you "get it." What kind of president she's going to be, including her humor.
I'm very glad she did this. And I'm thrilled that so many thousands are watching it. I don't know if it will change minds, but I think it will make those who've reluctantly decided to vote for her more enthusiastic and happy with her. And they probably won't even realize why
