(82,383 posts)Corporations can't vote, so they can't make you vote for any politician and they can't make an officeholder do anything. Each war should stand on its own as to its necessity or not. The poor and middle class, especially the latter, were all for the wars! That's why many of the officeholders voted in favor. They were all following Dubya at the time because 911.
It's a bit harder for us out there than to stop other countries from oppressing women and gays, and we may have to deal with them in some way from time to time and that may be more likely that we could influence them, trade, helping them out, not wars. Saying these countries bankroll our candidate's lifestyle can only the the product of a long twisted conspiracy reasoning. Rich people can stand up for the little guy and it's a good thing there are a few of them. And the little guy does not have to be such a pathetic character as your post makes him out to be. Most of us aren't going to be rich and we are not feeling sorry for ourselves about it. We are not seeing every person who made more money as "must be" corrupt.
