(1,499 posts)If I read one more "Ah ha, now "everyone" knows the DNC was helping Hillary. We need to weed out "corruption." post, I am going to pound my head bloody against the wall.
We've always known the DNC was helping Hillary. We all knew that the DNC would try to stop anyone who ran against Hillary. We all knew that is just the way the DNC (and the RNC for that matter) work and always have worked. This wailing about how the DNC is "supposed to be neutral" is flat out disingenuous. It's not true when they say it. It's not true when we say it. We knew this what we were up against when we signed up with Bernie. We weren't cheated in any way, shape or form.
What's more, we know it didn't change the result.
Yea, it takes a truckload of hubris for Hillary's Primary Army to be posting stuff like "Hillary won fair and square" at this point in time (even though, like I said, it's not cheating when the "cheated" knows exactly what forces are on the other side from the get go), or to launch into divisive flotsam like "The DNC did Bernie a favor by letting him run at all" (which translates to "We did 43% of the Democratic electorate a 'favor' by letting them participate in the nomination process at all" , but that's on the shoulders of handful of DU denizens who can't let the primary go.
But if we let this story divide us (or use this story to bludgeon our respective FORMER primary opponents over the head by acting like this is some new and shocking news), we are going to end up throwing away an opportunity to make historic changes in this country.
Bernie knows it . . . I know it . . . you know it.
Put Secretary Clinton in the White House, take the Senate, take the House, and send whatever beast the Republican party's hatred for Barrack Obama turned it into to the depths of a bottomless pit.
