Once the media dialog moves elsewhere, it's over.
Sanders undoubtedly hopes to build his anti-Democratic Party movement, but with what? Movements of people motivated mostly by discontent only have so long before they die away, and a large part of his support is "anti-establishment/where's mine." And of course, his temporary conservative voters were always temporary. There're probably a very large overlap of those with the "Clinton Derangement Syndrome" contingent, but in any case he'll be of no use to the latter once he's no longer a candidate.
Unfortunately for Sanders, America's actually doing a lot better and becoming a lot healthier under Obama. I'm disappointed in him, but now we know the streak of greatness some of us once wondered might be coming out simply isn't there.
