You're winning! It's no secret. You've got a majority of the pledged delegates. A majority of the un-pledged delegates pre-pledged to you (weird statement). You've got the media behind you. You've got the Koch brothers behind you. You've got the entire Democratic establishment behind you. You've got 55% of the primary voters behind you. Those same pre-pledged un-pledged delegates seem confident they can also work with Trump so you're set no matter what.
You're winning. Relax. Let Bernie finish it out to the convention, take your trophy, and walk away. What difference does it make? He promised his supporters he'd see it through to the end so he should. He tends to keep his word, which isn't a bad thing. He's got a knack for consistency and it would be antithetical for him to bow out early.
I really don't understand all the posts from Camp Hillary belittling Sanders for seeing it through to the end. It is what it is. Everyone paying a modicum of attention knows what's up. The kind of commitment and passion he has generated from his supporters should be encouraged in our currently extremely disaffected political climate. It should be welcomed into the party and not tossed away. These are people willing to fight for our, as I have been assured by Hillary supporters, shared values. Why would anyone discourage that?
Going on and on labelling him a grifter/used-car salesman/charlatan/etc, promoting false narratives about "chairs", denigrating his supporting as "privileged" when you know nothing about their lives other than that they see a better future with Sanders. It's a great way to ensure these people leave the party.
I'm an ardent Sanders supporter. I think he's a way better candidate than Clinton. I won't vote for her in the fall...I haven't been shy about that...and it has nothing to do with anything her supporters have done. I guess all I'm saying is, you can't win me over, but there are plenty of people you could win over. The current strategy doesn't seem to be to give that a shot, though.
