2016 Postmortem

That simply won't happen. By the time the convention gets underway, the delegates who are actually there to nominate a candidate for President will have been selected from among all of those folks in every state who have participated in conventions in those states. At each level, fewer and fewer people go to the next level.
In Philadelphia, the guy who called Senator Barbara Boxer a "bitch" will not be one of those delegates. In fact, the delegates will all be people of dignity and responsibility. It's very difficult to become a national convention delegate. For example, Nevada sends just 35 pledged delegates to the convention, along with eight unpledged superdelegates. That makes Nevada's delegation one of the smaller ones that will be there. Those 43 individuals will have been winnowed down from all those folks at the county and state conventions. Most will be recognized leaders in the Democratic Party organization, and there will also be those superdelegates, who are either Democratic elected officials or DNC members.
There won't be any shouting of "bitch" at anyone. There won't be any rushing down to the podium to yell and disrupt. That simply won't be tolerated. At the national convention, such behavior will lead to disqualification of that delegate and replacement by an alternate who will vote the same, but might be better behaved.
The agenda will be followed. Votes will be held. Rules will be adopted, as will the Party platform. A presidential nominee will be elected and then a vice-presidential nominee. Then, everyone will return to their states and we'll all be looking forward to the general election. The whole thing will be televised, too. We can all watch, if we have the time and inclination.
But, there will be no unruly, loud, ugly disruptions on the convention floor. At the National Convention, people who manage to be delegates there are civilized people. It will all go just fine. Hillary Clinton will win on the first ballot, since she will have the majority of pledged delegates and the superdelegates will vote with them.
No drama. No outrage. No disruption. We'll just select our party's nominee.
