(12,081 posts)57. I think you are missing something. The middle class have been disappearing for over
30 years. The number of those living underneath the poverty line has increased dramatically. The rich are getting richer. The poor are getting poorer and the people are pissed. It may sound like a fantasy but if you study history this does happen from time to time. When the people feel the government is too corrupt and no longer represents them they fight back. Whether with a full blown revolution like the Labor Movement or just an anti-establishment sentiment during the election cycle it does happen and it his happening now.
