It's another to blindside him with it. That's just chickenshit. And yet the bishops who enabled pedophile priests were allowed to continue in their ministries. They probably even had a voice in the decision to dismiss Father Bourgeois. I will continue to pray for the old men in power in the Church will learn to listen to the voice of God and not themselves.
