When people speak about the NRA as if it just magically sprung into being. The NRA is an effective lobby because it has millions of voting gun owners who support it. As for repealing the 2nd amendment, that's just a sad fantasy and one who's consequences are very poorly thought out. I believe the old expression is "the road to hell is paved with good intentions".
