(26,602 posts)56. Suppose then that this hypothetical person had very strong opinions on
the need to vigorously curtail "market making" (whatever that is), despite not being able to clearly explain why that would be beneficial or even what market making is. Would you not suggest to this person that perhaps their opinion is not as informed as they might wish, and that a bit of research might either lead them to modify it, or at least give them a leg to stand on if they chose to stay the course?
