That one got debunked last year. It's supposedly inspirational, showing women of diverse backgrounds, and make a powerful counterpoint to the Iwo Jima flagraising photo. But there were virtually no women on US naval bases prior to 1942.

Still, it tells an important story of how the war changed gender roles in America.
