Of course, last year Australia looked for a while like it might confiscate all profits, using his plea bargain as a basis for a "proceeds of crime" action -- but they got their butts kicked by the public outcry in Oz and dropped the threat

Some US states have "Son of Sam" laws that might be used similar, though I don't recall any such US Federal statute

How exactly do you think the US could ban Hicks' book?
