A schools campaign in which boys, and male teachers, wear a girl's uniform to school for a day, in order to raise money to educate girls in Africa.

Arch-conservative politician (and raving lunatic) Cory Bernardi, made some scathing remarks, seeing it as a part of the marriage equality campaign, which was not the case.

The resulting attention on the school he named, Craigburn Primary School, took their fundraising to heights they'd never have dreamed of before his insulting comments. Instead of the target of $900, the school raised $250,000 for African education. To say nothing of the increased awareness of the annual campaign amongst the general population.

There's an article on the ABC website about it, but it was published before they reached their final total.
