Jefferson County Clerk Barb Frank said there are approximately 48,200 registered voters in the county. Voters who have moved or never registered may still register today. Frank said those registering today must show proof of living at an address for 28 days. No driver's license or Wisconsin ID card is needed, although the last four Social Security numbers are required.

She said she is hoping to see as many as 40,000 ballots cast by 8 p.m. when the polls close ... about a 75-percent turnout.
