Aug 2021

I was led to believe you are voting on 2 different things. First the recall, and then who will replace Newsom if the recall passes.

They seemed mutually exclusive, meaning you could vote in the 2nd issue, just in case the 1st one passes.

The Second Vote Doesn't Matter SoCalDavidS Aug 2021 #1
Not necessarily. Kevin Paffrath a Democrat can do it if the recall passes JohnSJ Aug 2021 #8
And What Is Kevin Polling At? SoCalDavidS Aug 2021 #11
If you look at the link I supplied above he has 27% of the vote, leading Elder by 4 points JohnSJ Aug 2021 #22

I believe you can vote No on Newsom's recall Zorro Aug 2021 #33
Why would you do that? You want him to stay but will give a vote... brush Aug 2021 #36
Nothing wrong with voting on the second part Zorro Aug 2021 #41
Odd way of looking at it. Voting "NO" is franchising yourself. brush Aug 2021 #43
That is incorrect. Mr.Bill Aug 2021 #42

If Newsom was recalled, Mr.Bill Aug 2021 #7
Yup. We have a super majority, and can do just what Kentucky did. Newsom is NOT going to JohnSJ Aug 2021 #9
So why haven't they done anything to prevent such recalls? intrepidity Aug 2021 #10
It would require changing the state constitution. Mr.Bill Aug 2021 #13
I think I get it now.... chowder66 Aug 2021 #44
If you plan to vote for a candidate if the recall passes, which I don't think it will, JohnSJ Aug 2021 #4
Do you vote for a replacement even if you vote "No"? intrepidity Aug 2021 #12
Yes, you can. n/t Mr.Bill Aug 2021 #14
No. Just mail it in. It's a tricky ballot. Don't give vote to someone... brush Aug 2021 #39
I didn't say you should, Mr.Bill Aug 2021 #40
Sure. It won't count if the recall fails, and that is what we want, but if it doesn't fail I think JohnSJ Aug 2021 #16
I hope we Dems don't miscalculate intrepidity Aug 2021 #17
I don't think so. Newsom is as liberal as they come, so anyone using that logic doesn't know JohnSJ Aug 2021 #20
